Energy Ratings - NHER & SAP

The practice is committed to the design and construction of energy efficient housing. In 1994, Geoff Carter undertook the necessary training course and examination to become a registered assessor with the National Home Energy Rating Scheme, with the practice also becoming members.

This enables early decisions to be taken along with the clients regarding the approach to energy issues. On each Housing Association project certificates for required each house type are issued giving both NHER and SAP ratings along with advice regarding likely running costs. It is also possible to calculate likely pay back periods for alternative approaches.
